He Shuhuai (1937-)

He Shuhuai was born in a famous TCM family at Zhengding County, Hebei Province, in 1937. In 1957, he enrolled at Beijing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and was assigned to work in the Acupuncture Department of the affiliated hospital after graduation. He has experience in the application of the syndrome differentiation, especially proficient in treating windstroke, headache, Bi-syndrome, asthma and facial paralysis. He advocates needling superficially with more points. Thus widening the indications of Huatuojiaji and Ashi points. He wrote dozens of papers and compiled Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Clinical Practice, and Acupuncture. He is now the director of the Acupuncture and Tuina Department and the Teaching room of the Acupuncture Therapy of Beijing, College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and associate professor, and standing member of the China Association of Acupuncture­Moxibustion.
