JIANG YIJUN

Jiang Yijun (1922-)
Jiang Yijun, a native of Xinghua County, Jiangsu Province, was born in 1922. He started learning traditional Chinese medicine from Jiang Ziwei, his uncle, in 1938. His medical career began in 1943 in his hometown. In 1952 he organized a united clinic with his colleagues and started studying Western medicine in 1954. In 1956 he went to work in the Jiangsu School of Traditional Chinese Medicine and in 1957 he served as a clinical teacher of acupuncture in the Affiliated Hospital of Beijing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is good at selection of the special points and the Eight Confluent Points. His chief works include Concise Acupuncture, Acupuncture, Es­sentials of Chinese Acupuncture, Meridians and Collaterals, Clinical Application of the Five Ancient Acupuncture Techniques and Clinical Application of the Eight Confluent Points. Now he is an associate professor at the Affiliated Hospital of Beijing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. (source : Essentials of Contemporary Chinese Acupuncturist Clinical Experience.
