JIAO GUORUI

Jiao Guorui (1923-1997)

Jiao Guorui, a native of Fengren County, Hebei Province, was born in a well-known family of traditional Chinese medicine. He started practising qigong since childhood. As a graduate of the North-China School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, he has made great contributions to training domestic and foreign acupuncturists, and popularizing qigong. He has passed on his knowledge about qigong to people from about forty countries. Now he is a research fellow of the Acupuncture Institute, director of the Qigong Teaching Section, China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, vice-chairman of the All China Qigong Science Association, and member of the Standing Committee of the China Qigong Science Society.
