Xie Xiliang (1926-)
Xie Xiliang was born in Bulang County, Henan Province, in September, 1926. He started learning TCM in 1948 under his brother’s influence. In 1950, he apprenticed to Cheng Dan’an to learn acupuncture. Xie emphasizes the application of the theory of Ziwuliuzhu, the techniques of the deep insertion at Fengfu (Du 16) and the application of direct moxibustion. He has published the works of Moxibustion Therapy and Calculating Diagram Dish of Ziwuliuzhu, etc. He is at present associate chief doctor of the Acupuncture Department of the Xiangfen People’s Hospital, Shanxi Province; permanent member of the Board of Directors of the Shanxi Branch of the All-China Traditional Chinese Medicine Association; and advisor to the Hong Kong Acupuncture Society.
