Thomas Pridgin Teale
Thomas Pridgin Teale. Surgeon to Leeds General Infirmary.
b1801, lived at 22 Albion Street. He was educated at Leeds Grammar School and became surgeon to the Dispensary in 1824 at the age of 23 and at the Infirmary in 1833. He delivered the opening address at the foundation of the Leeds Medical School and lectured on Anatomy and Physiology for over 25 years. He was Secretary to the School from its foundation until 1839 and was President in 1841-42. He was appointed a member of the General Medical Council at its institution in 1858
