Wang Jianhua (1927-)
Wang Jianhua (1927.11.— ), male, comes from Jiangsu Taixing. He is a lifelong professor of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, a Ph. D. instructor, the honorary editor of , the compiler of , the honorary director of the 6th board of directors of Guangdong Institute of the Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. Prof. Wang has been the vice-director of Chinese Pharmacologic Society and the director of Chinese Medicine Pharmacology Committee , the director of Guangdong Institute of the Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, the superintendent of the Piwei graduate school of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He was once a member of the 4th and 5th Guangdong committee and a member of the standing committee of the 6th one, the Executive Director of the Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine，a member of the Ministry of Health and the Guangdong new drugs judging panel, an expert of the evaluation group of National Natural Science Foundation of China, State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Experts Database of Guangdong province，the editor of ，the vice-director of the and the . Since 1991, he began to enjoy the special subsidy of the government. Prof. Wang has been teaching and doing researches on the Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine and the pharmacology of Chinese materia medica for more than 50 years. In the early years, he worked on the research of using Chinese herb in anesthesia and was one of the founders of using Chinese traditional medicine in anesthesia in China. In 1978, his research won the National Science Award. Since 1970s, he devoted himself to the research on the rules of using the Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine to select treatments based on the syndromes differentiation to cure the Pi asthenia syndrome and the pharmacology of the compound prescription of Chinese materia medica; he has been responsible for the research programs and multinomial tasks of the National Natural Science Foundation of China，the Ministry of Health and the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation. The “Series researches on selecting treatments based on the syndromes differentiation to cure the Pi asthenia syndrome” held by him won the 2nd prize of the National Science and Technology Advancement Award in 2000, the “Basic researches on selecting treatments based on the syndromes differentiation to cure the Pi asthenia syndrome” won the 2nd prize of the basic research of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1999. Prof. Wang has published 8 monographs and more than 150 theses. Moreover, he has instructed 47 postgraduates, including 26 Masters and 21 Doctors.
